The EAES Clinical Trial Center (CTC)

Step 1: Study idea is submitted electronically using the template form. Submitting surgeon has to be EAES member.
The idea will be screened for methodology and clinical relevance.

Step 2: Feasible and novel ideas will be converted into a trial outline in cooperation with the submitting surgeon as Principal Investigator (PI).

Step 3: The Research Committee approves or rejects a study idea, using the FINER criteria: Feasible, interesting, novel, ethical and relevant.

Step 4: A full protocol will be created by the submitting surgeon in cooperation with the IFOM, according to GCP (ICH Guidelines for Good Clinical Practice).

During regular meetings of the EAES Research Committee studies in design as well as studies in conduction are declared as EAES studies, if at least 2 members of the committee accept to participate in such a project.
